Long day

Worked until around 12.30 or somesuch because Cody was sick and therefore I was the only one there. It was hot today too, something like 112º. What was really evil is that while I was mucking Kash's stall I was sweating so profusely that some of it dripped into my eye. Salt water does not feel good in one's eye. To make matters worse, due to my contacts . . . well, it wasn't very comfortable to say the least and lead to much wincing and rubbing of the face. It felt like the contact shriveled on contact with the sweat. Aua.

After that I squeegied home around 1.30, showered, polished off what was left of the Schweinebrot from Saturday (so good *drool*) and dumped the guns in the back of the Explorer before picking up Matt. Of course, I forgot the key for my .22 long rifle (curse me) and it turns out that you have to be 21 in order to purchase 40 cal. bullets from Wal-Mart (accursed store!) so instead of shooting my .22 and Matt's Uncle's 40 cal Glock we shot off some 50 rounds of my little 32 beretta and at least 100 off of Dad's .22 bolt action long rifle. Love that bolt action.

Probably would have stayed out and shot longer had I remembered the evil key and had Wal-Mart not been its evil self and had the demon age restriction of 21 instead of 18 like it is everywhere else (ironic thing is: you can buy buck shot at 18 and basically any type of bullet that won't fit in a handgun there, but you, as the logic goes, can't buy little .22 shells).

After that we hit Four Peaks road, which was just across the way and enjoyed the washboard roads and potholes that abounded until the sky started looking rather threatening and we found a descent place to turn around. I really would have liked to of gone farther, but time was low.

I need to remember to harrass Dad about leaving the Explorer with less than a quarter tank again.
