Cleaned up the Expedition from the mud-bath it had last Saturday. Went to work at 11.30, was awakened around 8 by Dad singing in the kitchen as he made waffles for breakfast.
Stitches . . .itch . . . narr.
Dug up an idea for another story. Something else I need to chug several hours into, the stories I have hanging on strings.
Work was pretty good, for once it wasn't slow, business seems to be picking up a little, despite the fact that it isn't all that warm outside.
Nick's party was pretty great. I came in while they were watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail. After that we attacked the Gingerbread house which wasn't a house but a castle complete with a battle scene between gummy bears with gummy worms as moat beasts. There were red sprinkles all over the place, representing the blood splattered across the powdered sugar snow. They had toothpicks for arrows/spears and two "spears" with three heads on them. Much amusement. Nick and Russel got the first two hits with this really nice four or five-inch blade, the rest of us attacked it after that with butter knives. It tasted yummy, not sure if it was more entertaining than last year with the homemade explosives, but we did get to eat it this year.
Nearly gnawed off one of Jen's limbs because she touched my back. She was rather careful to avoid it afterwards. I do believe everyone got a fair warning about my back and the loss of limb associated with touching it.
Jen and Nick made several assults upon my overly tickelish sides for the sheer joy of making me squeak. Annette kept on thinking someone'd stepped on one of the dogs because it happened to be more of a yelp rather than a squeak due to the paranoia I still have about people touching my back. Found out where Jen is tickelish though *sinister laughter* so that's a plus. Chased Nick a few times around the house, he was much affeared since Jen and I ganged up on him.
Anyway, later on Jen, russell, another girl I don't know, and Sean I believe had to bamboozle before we could start up the D&D i-forgot-the-word "quest" thing. Jen had to go just before the campaine (ha! remembered! just not the spelling!) started and has a character all done up for when we jump into it again. I'm a human Cleric by the name of Kri. Ben was an elf/dragon that decided to worship me as a god . . . woo! I have someone worshiping me, er, Kri, my character. Anyway. Nick's character is the designated "drunk," who's an elf with EXTREMELY high tolerence to alcohol (ignore my spelling . . . narr, school's out) and is an excellent shot with a bow. Annette's character who's name I don't recall was thrown though the bar's window and later ended up killing off Ben's character, selling his meat and using his hide for armor, go annette, so my minion's dead, hehe. I was responsible for getting the campain together and managed to group together Nick's elf, myself, gah, who else, can't recall, oh, yes, Sean had a gnome that joined in after the big fight that lead to Ben's character's death, and myself, along with a dwarf, don't recall the guy's name, I think it was Chris. Much amusement. We'll have to continue it some other time.
We were supposed to get new carpet in today, but didn't, so we suspect tomorrow, and I need to clear off all of my shelves, which could be fun, and fix up my room so we can get everything out.
OH! Nick got me FUZZY DICE! Mwah ha ha! Now I get to have fuzzy dice in my car! what fun! Had to drive Ben and Matt (he was the DM) home from the party, no big deal, heard that German song again, it's driving me nuts, must find out who sings it, anyway. Matt had moved sometime last school year and now he lives about a 1/2 mile away just down Adobe! I find that entertaining. This being the quiet Matt, not the tall Matt that Dave calls "Evil Twin," or the other Matt who's LDS.
Woo, lets see what I get accomplished tomorrow. Oh, didn't get to see the movie today, decided to be at the party instead. I'll probably end up seeing it again during the break anyway, must drag Tiff off to do something next week, she gets back tomorrow night from Chicago, she played there for Orchistra . . .very talented with her violin. She's not too shabby with the piano or the other oversized violins (i.e. chello and base) that she's played.
Good night all, happy holidays and enjoy whatever off time you achieve.
