This morning I was feeding the herd and about ready to put hay in Tru-D's bag when I noticed something on my shoulder. It was not a small something. It was moving.
Insert shriek, arm flail, heeby-geeby dance, and then eagerly looking for the creature.

Legs spread out it was probably just smaller than my palm and the body not quite the size of the end of my thumb, knuckle to tip.
The boys came out to inspect too. A shame I couldn't get my phone to focus.
It must have bee on the hay when I grabbed it and migrated on to my shoulder.
It is either a young tarantula or a Giant Crab Spider, probably the latter. After I unceremoniously brushed it off my shoulder I nudged it off the walk path so I wouldn't step on it. Due to it's lack of desire to raise it's butt and angrilu flick hairs at me I imagine it isn't a tarantula. Poor thing was probably hoping for some juicy crickets and found me instead.
