I am a creavolutionist!
Oct. 6th, 2002 10:01 pmSome may question that two such polar theories could collide and find some form of harmony amongst each other, I think, why not?
I personally believe that the earth was not created in 6 days, as we know them, rather, six times. Really, if Earth as we know it were created in 6 days as we know them, I doubt it'd appear as it does, nor be so well-planned gosh darn-it! considering that you didn't have the actual Earth to gage time on the first day, how in the world are you to speculate that it was a day as we know it?
Anyway, I think that, yes, Christ, under the hand of God created earth, and all things in it. But does it say how he created each individual by hand? Of course not! That'd be way too detailed and strenuous for the mind of Humans way back when this account of the creation was given. Thusly, I believe that the creations of the earth DID evolve, but they were "nudged," so to speak, by a greater power.
Consider the fact that in-breeding is not a good idea when it comes to maintaining a healthy species population. Given that similar mutations are more prone to happen among related individuals wouldn't that destroy the new species as it was created? Also, if two animals that were of the same species, but in far corners of the genetic pool did have the same genetic mutation, who's to say they'd ever have the chance to meet and breed? Let alone both being of differing genders!
Okay, I should go to bed, fever is evil. That is the end of my creavolutionism rant, maybe I should write a paper, hehe.
