I'm going to wait for the camera
Oct. 19th, 2002 04:38 pmBecause the guys took and, and really, I'd rather not scan the thing.
My prisma experiment on canvas was both successful and not. Not because prisma does not due well by itself on canvas. It was successful because of the end results.
All in all I used the following:
Oil Pastels, Prisma watercolor pencils, prisma pencils, my goldenrod prisma marker (I stopped once the colored pencils started clogging the tip), gouache, and watercolor.
It was fun, six different media in one picture (that is if you don't count the fact I sprayed it with Aquanet hairspray to attempt to keep everything on the canvas or the pencil undersketch), I feel so accomplished. I thought of dragging out the oil and acrylic paints, but I didn't want to clean up after myself, hehe.
It was origionally going to be a simple little thing of a Mitchel. Then, somehow, two other mitchel creaped into the background along with my initials written twice in the background using guenitha runes. Being as they're phonetic, I decided to do the first as you'd say it Cee ee ar, the second was just the first sound of each word in my name, thusly becoming "Keer." Y'can't really see the runes too well because I smudged them, but they're there on the top if you look hard enough. Hmm, need to get the digital camera and take a picture of it. I'm proud of my messed up attempt at using prisma pencils on canvas.
I think I'll play with my chalk pastels more.
