And now's the time to poke fun at Lance
Oct. 30th, 2002 09:28 pmLance is my little brother. He is very silly. Despite not having a real job he tends to spend more than I do a month (that is, excluding Germany). He bought the new Metal Gear Solid or Grand Theft Auto game and had it shipped next day air. It was one of the two, I remember because it had a three-word title, ANYWAY! I happened to be the only one home when the package came, oh, around 6.30, 40 minutes before my government class.
Obtaining the package from our front pourch I peered at the packaging. "Next day air?" I read questionably. Oh how foolish my little brother is! So I skipped to his room (or at least I should have) and went to his white board. I wrote "Guess what came!" and underneath wrote something like "I think you silly for shipping it next day air." Then, in extra fine print I wrote: "By the way: it's behind your monitor." I thought of putting it several other places, like, downstairs, but I decided behind the monitor was best.
So I come home from class and he comes in questioning if it had come. It was apparent he hadn't read the white board so I directed him to do as such, while grinning evily. He dashed off and I believe there was a cry of agony following while I stalked around the house feeling rather smug. It seems that he didn't see the fine print so I had to point it out to him, then he had trouble reading it, for I have very small handwriting. After finding his beloved package he proclaimed me evil and spoke of revenge when I order something. The thing is, I'm always home before he is, and, consiquently, around the time that packages and mail comes. I also mock him because he couldn't wait 1 day to get his game where I had to wait over 2 months to get my yellow package from Germany! And I feel that that package had a lot more worth than his game, namely for the fact that it had 20 rolls of film in it *twitch.*
Anyway! On to the next incident not long after the first!
Mom's phone was ringing, so at her request I ran off to her room to get it, Dad beat me to it, so I started walking back down the hall, then I noticed Lance was on the phone. "Is Skyler there?" Then from Mom's room "No, he was at the road show-"and more I can't remember. It clicked with me before it clicked with either of them that Lance had called mom's cell rather than Skyler's house! Therefore I was greatly amused twice by my smaller brother's anticts. Such a silly boy! I shall mock him much!
