lantairvleaSweet *runs about in circles.* There's an auction at dad's work (employees only) and they're selling of a Mamiya RB67.
Dad asked what I'd be willing to pay. I said 6. He balked. I said 500? He looked at me funny. I buckled and said 425. He muttered, but accepted it. I don't think he really understands the value of that camera. New Med. format camperas can go vor over 3,000 for just the BODY! Of course, Dad's saying that they're not even sure if the thing even works, but I'm cool with that. It may not have been used in a small eternity, but it should still work unless someone was careless and dropped the thing (which I doubt has happened). Crymedy, my little OM-1 sat dormant for 20 or somesuch years before I bought it in like-new condition and he's worried about a camera that's barely 10 years old and is worth a fair squat more? Not that I don't love my Olympus mind you, its just, bwah, medium format *drool.*
It seems I still have residual philosophical thoughts rattling around in my head at the moment. I'd like to compare it to the sound marbles make when you put them in a jar and swirl them around so that they start to climb up the jar due to their own enurtia, which I probably just spelled wrong.
I need to clear way enough on my bed so i can actually sleep on it (actually, tonight I feel more like crashing on the floor, but that's just me).
