Dec. 23rd, 2003 10:57 pmChristmas card done . . . almost. need to print everything out tomorrow. Need to make haste and finish Judy's christmas tomorrow.
Went to the dentist today, yet again, no cavities. This is still rather amazing considering the way in which I usually care for my teeth. I should start taking better care of them, though, it may bite me in the butt someday if I'm not careful.
Shilo dropped by and we exchanged gifts. Bwah, she got me some breyer Stablemates, and, as one might guess of two horse-freaks, I got her a set as well. Much talking and plotting. We'll be going for a ride on Friday and then I'll be going with her to check out a possible horse to buy, which shall be fun.
Hmm, equine-related accomplishments-
I got both Nikki and Glory in the water and into the trailer. Getting Glory into the water was probably the biggest obsticle. She tends to be rather reluctant and I've only gotten her willingly in the water once before when irrigation was going on (well, okay, it may not have been technically willingly, I made her stand in one spot until the whole area around her was flooded). I was rather happy. Glory's still going into the trailer nicely, which is very good as I'd like to never spend 3 hours getting a horse in a trailer ever again.
Spent a fair time attempting to plug up gopher holes. While I was standing Glory on a dry spot near the fence the ground gave away underneath her, which was bad. Thankfully she didn't panic and found her footing again. i'm just grateful it didn't collapse when, say, I was cantering a horse over that patch. Gnrr, gophers are rather annoying and we need to do something about them aside from me putting rocks in their holes and patting it down tight. I filled in the pottholes left behind by Glory, but that spot now makes me a bit nervous. I'll probably avoid it for a good squat of time.
I should be off to bed. I need to finish unpacking. I want to finish my book.
