lantairvleaTime Out for Women was great. It was all the way in Sun City West though, but fortunately we made it in a little under an hour. The talks were fantastic and Gladys Night and the Saints . . . something or another Chior *curses memory* made a fantastic opening performace. Also really enjoyed Gladys' talk she gave afterwards. Lovely, good stuff.
Put Vin and Kya together for the first time today. I was rather anxious, but they seem to be doing well together. At first Vinerm didn't seem to be too greatly interested in her and she chased him around a bit trying to get a good sniff of him and groom him a little. Then I think Vin realized that he was now paired with a female counterpart and chased her around for a little. They look rather cute together, even though Vin's almost twice her size. I need to uplaod the pictures and post them. Kya is a somewhat orange color with collar and star and white underbelly and Vin is a buff grey with a star and collar. I can't wait to see what their babies will look like! Of course, it may be a few months before Kya is mature enough, or finally lets Vin catch up with her. From what I've read Gerbils can delay implantation and thus they don't necessarily get pregnant right away after mating, that and females manage to hold off having pups until she's good and ready. We'll see how it goes in the end, I'm excited.
GASP! I may get to bed before 1 am tonight! So horrible. I'm not sure if I'm actually starting to get insomnia or something, but I've just NOT been tired at night lately, and, despite going to bed late, I still manage to get up and have energy for the rest of the day.
Hmm, sleep.
