Hit up Barnes and Nobel today as I had an extra 10% off any book. As usual, being as I'm still personally banned from buying any new novels until I read 17 more books, I headed straight for the nature section. Thumbed through several books and picked out the one with the most pictures. Yes, I'm bad. Or, rather, I'm an opprotunist seeking massive loads of drawing references. It's called "The Art of Being a Lion" (or something similar) and the photography in it is just fantastic. Nice, crisp images and gorgeous color. Mwah. The photographs themselves are to die for, the wealth of knowledge that shall be cyphoned from it is more so.

In other news, I need to yell at AZFCU. I have an odd charge that I have no clue where it came from. It says it's an overdraft charge, but I have PLENTY of money in my account to cover anything that I've possibly put my account through in the past week or so. I don't get it. They're going to get a call. I am irked. I may prattle on them about the bounced check as well because the deposit went in the SAME DAY and all, yet they still sent the check back and charged me. Nrrg.

Anyway. Today has been good. Horses, school, and soforth.

Managed to get massive amounts of charcoal on my face. Had a couple people ask if I knew that Ash Wednesday was last week (or, rather, voice that they thought of asking about it). It kinda amused me. It started off with just writing "hi" on my forehead with a heavily charcoal-saturated finger and then smudging it out. One of the kids in my class, a real goof and tease, asked if I had 666 on my forehead. I replied that it was a smudged "hi" and, to prove my point, smeared more charcoal across my forehead to demostrate the smudging effect of charcoal on skin.

That guy kinda gives off this flirtatious vibe. Gar. This could make the rest of the semester rather interesting as I suspect I shall take up my usual dance of innocent reactions which should not be interpreted as any form of attraction, but, for some reason, is. Curse thee misenterpreted body language! That and the slight predatory instincts that seem to come into play. A sort of odd hunt where the prey attempts to woo the preditor and the latter attempts to chase the former back to its own kind.

Of course, I'm just grateful and slightly amused that my social life is nothing like Mus's. It's something of our little joke that she is a fox. Both preditor and hunted, but sly and witty just the same. She's been known to turn the tables on many a-hunt and seems to always have a fair amount of hopeful hunters-to-become-rabbits lurking about. Granted, she's a bit more social than I am and lends herself to things such as dates and dances whereas I tend to lurk a bit more and preffer to observe unobserved as any ghost cat would.
