So awesome. During Life Drawing this stom passed through and you could hear the rain through the walls and it sounded like someone was throwing golf balls down the ventelation system.

During one of the breaks--

interruption.

Lance is a goofball. He attempted to commendeer my bed (he thinks it's more comfortable than his). This was followed by tickling and then by pinching, followed up shortly with a mild mauling. Managed to extract him from my bed, sling him over my shoulders (mind you, he's my height and only 20lbs lighter) and flopped him back on his bed.

I retreated and sat myself in the doorway to the laundry room (which is more of a closet and hall than a room my room is right next to it and the garage). He pretended he was going to brush his teeth and then shied away upon spotting me. I just sat calmly, watching, grinning. He made a break for Mom and Dad's room, jumped on the bed and skuttled under the covers. Dad went into action and managed to talk him out of it. I was standing hunched over in the doorway in a JP Velacaraptor-esque manner. I let him pass and followed him down the hall. He bolted for my room, clambered in my bed and dissappeared under the covers. I was not deterred, I sprang upon the conspicuous mound and chewed him into submission.

He then retreated to his own bedroom and I haven't seen him since.

So anyway. During one of the breaks several of us went outside and, not only was it raining sheets, but it was hailing to boot! The hailstones were probably not much smaller than marbles, it was really cool. "If the rain bounces, it's actually hail."

It stopped around when class ended, but it made me giddy walking to the car because there was ice/slush on the ground and tramping through it reminded me of snow and the thought of snow in Mesa is just so baffeling that it makes one giddy and a little mad as well (of the insane variety of course). Lance reported that it actually snowed at Shepherd (Jr. High).

Onto other amusing things of the day. I locked my keys in my car. Frantically I called Mom, she had an appointment at 11 and couldn't help. So I called up a few other people to no avail. Mus called me back, hurra! And after playing phone tag back and forth got a hold of her. She'd skimped out on classes today as she's feeling a bit under the weather but agreed to bring me the spare key in exchange for the knowledge of how to break into my house undetected (save for by the dogs).

Much pacing and about a half hour later she drove up. Hurra! The key worked! I need to get another spare and hide it somewhere so I don't have to worry about locking myself out.

Yet more news hovers about horses. And it seems that I'm going backwards through my day. Well, so be it.

Anyway. Spent almost an hour grooming Kash (there wasn't much else to do with him, it was raining) and, crymedy, he was shedding! I had to de-fur the curry several times while I was brushing him out. It's amazing they can lose so much fur at one time and still have plenty left over. Before you know it he'll be all slick and smooth and no more teddy-bear fuzziness (which, I admit, is nice to snuggle against, but doesn't look as showy).

After I got done grooming him up I let him roam about a little and then just stood next to him. So warm and he smells so good. Nothing like having a horse around. There's really no comparison. Always said I spent more time drooling over horses than I do boys. It's true.

Charlie came by today and did the horses' hooves. He said that Kash was much improved from last time (Judy reported that Charlie made comment about Kash being hard to handle), which is good. He is doing really good. Just need to get him out and moving so he can burn some of that extra energy.

Ah yes! Last note! Guess who's starting to teach horse lessons? Mwah ha ha. Tentatively set for around 5 tomorrow if it dries up a little. I'm rather excited. She's rather excited. Judy seems happy for me and Mom is ready to put up advertisements and set the thing going full-scale. For now, one is good. Makes me happy. One can lead to a lot more, but for now, one is good. Me? Teaching riding lessons! *Happy spazz she be.*
