You know, to my knowledge, Mountain Lions hunt what their mothers teach them, for the most part that is. Young cougars are more likely to get into the bad habit of killing people as they are less set in their ways.

Also to my knowledge, if you start culling the cougar population, then you run into a problem where you get a bunch of established animals disappearing to be replaced by young, inexperienced ones freshly out of cubhood who don't have a territory yet. This can create more problems with the surge of young animals attempting to solidify their boundaries. Similar things can happen with relocation, but I'd rather see them relocated than shot.

Narr, there's an ongoing debate in AZ as to what to do with a population of Mountain Lions that appear to have lost some of their natural fear of humans.

Hmmph, it would seem that humans are more than willing to charge into a habitat and change it to their liking, but, when the animals start adapting back, the humans start whining and griping about how THEIR home is being invaded by the animals. Wonder if anyone's thought "the animals must be thinking the SAME thing." Of course, the animals should have more of a right to the land than we do. They were here first, by several thousand years.

Gwar, no e-mail, snrk. Ah well, I'll just print out the questions I have and see if I can snitch some time and check it before I hit Communications to see if she's e-mailed me any questions. Need to e-mail Ruth and ask about what the assignment was for German and what we went over.

To work!
