Float tubes, hip waders, and fly fishing
Aug. 27th, 2004 10:24 pmSpent pretty much the whole day with Chris. It was great. Left around 7.30, headed up past Payson to Canyon Creek and that area.
Chris taught me how to cast, the hardest part is getting used to not moving one's wrist around. I started getting the hang of it, though and managed to actually get a few good casts and aim a little. I didn't use an actual lure to avoid any accidental impailings as I was just starting out. I've fished before, but never fly fishing, which can be a bit more hazardous if one doesn't know how to properly cast as the lure's going back and forth rather than just being flung out as in bait fishing.
I need to share some of the pictures. Chris got a few of me in the hip waders and boots and all that, they're great. So much amusement.
I need to sit down and catch myself up on details about the past two weeks, gah! So much time, yet it really isn't.
Hmm, sleep, right.
