I have to first say that I greatly appreciate the condolances that I have recieved. It means a lot, thank you.

Chewy's still doing good, today's the last day for the oxytocin to help her uterus contract back down to normal size. Her sides have already come down a lot and she no longer looks like a heavily pregnant mare. On Saturday it was kinda funny because I realized for the first time just how broad she'd gotten through the barrel. The back girth of my western saddle no longer fit at all and she definately had the pregnant mare look, sides sticking out half again of what they would normally. She's such a good little mare. I'm glad she's doing well.

We had an awesome storm yesterday and lost power for a couple hours. We have some lovely puddles and some slick mud. It was an adventure going out to feed the horses this morning. There's still lightening to the north.

Classes yesterday went pretty good. I was a little late getting to my first class, but I blame road construction. Do NOT go down Greenfield! It's a mess. I should probably just take Riggs or Chandler Heights.

Anyway, I'm hungry, breakfast calls.

Hopefully my student makes it out alright today. The lesson: How to clean tack and, possibly, do leg wraps.
