chugging along

lantairvleaDoing a bit better. Yesterday wasn't nearly so bad as the day before at least. Still had a bit of a fever at one point and I cancled all of my lessons for today. Still stuck inside and off of the horses, arr. Poor things didn't get fed until 8.00, I was quite tempted to feed them myself this morning, but, as I said, I'm still sick.
Went to the doctor on Wednesday and got the verdict that it is merely a horrendously bad cold. Wicked and evil thing, I must say. I did get more sleep last night than I did the night before, and definately more than Tuesday night (I MIGHT have slept three hours).
I started feeling good enough to draw yesterday at least. I'm going to try and put some time into the pastel piece I have and see if I can't at least get some of the bases down. I'd really like to do some more work with pastels as I think it's quite a beautiful medium and doesn't get a lot of attention. Granted, colored pencils tend to be underappreciated in the greater art world as well, but pastels you don't see much anywhere, though it does seem to be gaining popularity among equine artists due to Lesley Harrison's work (gah, makes me drool Must-see art).
